Excerpt:
"If
you are a victim of sexual abuse, it can feel like a very
lonely place. There is shame, secrecy, confusion, betrayal
and powerlessness that have likely entered your life and
that you‘ve carried with you for years. But the truth
is, you are not alone. Many walk this road. In fact, there
are 39 million survivors of childhood sexual abuse in the
U.S. alone. And all can find hope and healing. This group
is an excellent place to find comfort and support as you
turn your heart to the Lord who said in John 16:33, ’”In
this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have
overcome the world.'"
"Life Beyond the Scars is a look at the hope
and peace God offers when we choose to live a life that
is not controlled by the mistreatment we‘ve experienced
or the fears we hold, but rather by truth, love and faith
in a God who has overcome the world." |
