Excerpt:
This workbook is intended to be a catalyst for healing
for those who have found themselves struggling with conflict
issues. This isnt intended to be as much about how
to resolve conflict (stay with me here) as it is exploring
Gods sovereignty over conflict, the pain involved
in it, and the good that God is able to bring from it
thereby
finding personal resolution over conflict (and oftentimes,
mutual resolution). My hope is that as you rest in his care
and provision, conflict issues will release their hold on
you and free you of the turmoil and adverse effects that
many of us see and experience in conflict.
Rest assured, I am right there with
you in this. I have experienced devastation and frustration
from conflict. In recent years, however, shackles that bound
me in conflict have been released, freeing me to rest confidently
and peacefully in God. Its a warm, comforting place
to hang out. Certainly, there are still many times that
my confidence and peace get disrupted with conflict, and
I long for complete freedom from the disruption. But I know,
by Gods amazing love and grace, how to find freedom
again....

About the Author
Kelly Hawkins has experienced the
deep pain of conflict-of feeling
devastating effects of clashing when the primary desire
was, "I just
want a good relationship with you." Through a drawn-out
process of
learning and growing, she found, as author Beth Moore describes,
"a gift
in desperation" as her pain delivered her into the
comforting arms of
God. It was there that her hope was found with intimacy,
beauty,
strength and peace.
Kelly's ministry roles have included mentoring
women, small group leader, women's ministry director and
various church leadership responsibilities, and occasional
speaking engagements. After graduating from Eastern Michigan
University, she worked for several years as a Mental Health
Professional. She is currently a care group leader with
LifeCare Christian Center, a care ministry in Southeast
Michigan. She also serves on the board of advisors for Oasis,
a care ministry in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Having discovered
her passion for a writing ministry, she is the Program Director
for CarePoint and has authored two other CarePoint titles
to date: Life Beyond the Scars and Healing Tears.
Besides her love for ministry, Kelly enjoys
perennial gardening, target
shooting and spending time with her family and friends.
She and her
husband, Dave, along with their three kids, Tim, Adam and
Allison, live
in the Ann Arbor area.

into the truth of this complex issue: conflict resolution.
Kelly Hawkins addresses not only the ways we handle conflict
in destructive ways but also how to develop healthy ways
to confront while dealing with difficult relationships and
situations of life. Conflict can be seen as an opportunity
to grow or a means to destroy. This study equips us with
the means to develop and maintain healthy relationships
that will bring honor to one who authored themGod
Himself!
