Excerpt:
Where do you go from here? If you have betrayed your
own vow to your spouse and been involved in an emotional
or physical affair, then your first step is to seek forgiveness
from God and your spouse. Daily surrender your pain, sin,
thoughts, and actions to God. Second, seek professional
help with your spouse through a counselor in your church
or community that can guide you to take steps toward forgiveness,
reconciliation, and restoration in your marriage. Third,
be honest with yourself, with your feelings, with God, and
with your spouse. Honesty is the key to building trust again.
Fourth, terminate all contact with the affair partner.
Allow your spouse to set clear boundaries with you
in your relationship regarding the affair partner. Lastly,
keep reading this book. This book was written for you and
your spouse to read and process together, so that you both
can be healed by God and restored to one another in your
marriage relationship. If you are the spouse who has been
betrayed, I am sorry for what you are experiencing. I know
this is extremely painful, but God has a plan to restore
you and your marriage....
